Sonia joined the Corporate Engagement team in October of 2020 after supporting a Chicago-based social service agency for 15 years and is the primary administrator, liaising with our internal partners to ensure gift funds are allocated correctly to the appropriate unit. In addition, she updates the Corporate Engagement website, manages our digital publications, tech-hosts our Zoom webinars, and facilitates corporate visits and CE in person events.
Sonia has a BA in Liberal Studies from Shimer College, and has earned a Certificate in Mediation and a Mental Health First Aid Certificate from Northwestern University, and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida. She is Co-chair of UNIDOS, Northwestern's Latinx Coalition, a Bystander Intervention facilitator and trainer, and MCR Mediator with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion.
