As part of their broader partnership with Northwestern, General Motors (GM) supports the Hodge EXCEL program for first-generation college students and students graduating from high schools where they didn’t have the opportunity to take engineering-focused classes.
The Google News Initiative, Northwestern’s Medill School, and the Knight Lab launched the Data-Driven Reporting Project in 2021 to provide resources to newsrooms and freelancers serving local and underrepresented communities.
