Promoting Racial Equity: A Guide for Business Leaders
Are you interested in doing more to advance racial equity in your organization? Watch the recorded webinar.
Recorded Wednesday, August 19 | 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the unprecedented growth of the Black Lives Matter movement and related protests have generated a national conversation around the persistent racial inequalities that shape life in the United States. Many business leaders have joined this conversation by sending thoughtfully-crafted emails and signing pledges to demonstrate their organizations’ commitment to the work of promoting racial equity. While business leaders across the country increasingly express a desire to build equitable organizations, they face challenges to getting started.
Join Northwestern University’s Corporate Engagement team for a webinar on advancing racial equity in corporations, led by Dr. Alvin B. Tillery, Jr., Director of the Center for the Study of Diversity and Democracy and associate professor of political science at Northwestern.
At this webinar, you will learn….
- What it means for a corporation to promote racial equity
- Specific actions business leaders can take to start building an equitable organization
- How to gauge when you are on the right path to becoming an equitable organization
This webinar will draw on both social science research and case studies drawn from the recent experiences of corporations in several sectors of the economy.
